Minigore gets great reviews

ZTGD got their hands on Minigore and awarded it 9/10 and the Editor's Choice! Go read all about it! The game was submitted to Apple earlier this month and it is going to be available for $0.99 on the AppStore soon.

  2. early this morning (now in italy is 13:31PM)
I read a post published on my favourite italian blog about iphone: ispazio.net, and I saw a very beautiful gameplay video and a very interesting review..
I hope Minigore will be released soon.. VERY SOON!!!! XD

  3. Anon: Haha! "Get it while it's sexy" would be a great topic for that post. :D

  5. WANT TO PLAY IT NOW.

  6. How many MB will be minigore?
because i'm leaving my home (and wifi connection) so i'll download it through EDGE (limited to 15MB for every app)

    THANKS!

  7. it may come out today as fridays are release and update days for apple as of recently

    ReplyDelete
  8. STILL not yet? *cries*

    ReplyDelete
  9. I think you guys should just start handing out the builds to everyone since this is just getting ridiculous =)

    ReplyDelete
  10. i bet the submission was lost or apple didn't recieve it.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Soon aka two more weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  12. its been like 2 weeks thats unusually long, and pocket god was submitted friday and released today.

    ReplyDelete
  13. What I don't get is, is how did they get a copy to play it if it's not out yet in the AppStore?!? This game really needs to come out NOW!!!! The sad thing is is that I will get my hopes up and then when I do get it and if I don't like it i'm probably going to throw my iPod and the blow it up!

    ReplyDelete
  14. muffin pocket god was an update...this is new...and 2 weeks seems a lot o time, they're gonna reject this so this would take another month...sad...

    ReplyDelete
  15. grrr i'd rather pay you through paypal then wait for apple to approve it!!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. this is taking soooooooooo long if its not out tomorrow im just not going to buy it.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I heard July 30th but hten we all hear something right... I am chomping at the bit to blast them little fucks back to hell so BRING ON THE GORE!!

    ReplyDelete
  18. TOUCH K.O. is now available in the AppStore. Haven't the both games, MiniGore and Touch K.O., been submitted together?
I think MiniGore will be out very soon, and i hope the developers will spoil us with an quick first update!

I don't know if that's already a feature of MiniGore, but "moveable" D-Pads like in Isotope would be nice!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Wtf touch ko out...minigore not....

    ReplyDelete
  20. I mentioned that, because they've been both submitted by Chillingo at the same time...so MiniGore will be out very soon, obviously!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I really hope what JohnTheDon says will come true...
I checked this blog and iTunes everyday for a good news!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm starting to think that Apple rejected it...again. But this time, Mountain Sheep didn't want to announce it as to not let us down further. So they probably rushed to fix whatever it was Apple had a problem with and resubmitted for the third time. So I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't show up for another 2 weeks+.

    ReplyDelete
  23. this was rejected bf4 too?omg...i start thinkin this won't come out...soon i won't buy it...

    ReplyDelete
  24. why was it rejected before

    ReplyDelete
  25. It wasn't rejected...there was just a funny article somewhere in the inet, that said it was rejected because of goreless gameplay. But that was just a joke.

And i really don't think there is any reason for a rejection.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I give mo money to other games...this is taking forever

    ReplyDelete
  27. i cant believe its not up yet.. what the hell

    ReplyDelete
  28. this game i really want to play badly :(

    ReplyDelete
  29. ill pay you double if you let me have it now :(

    ReplyDelete
  30. This is retarded, it should not take this long for a game to be released after submission. Epic failure.

    ReplyDelete
  31. i can't wait to review this game for our german iPhone and iPod Touch Gaming Blog www.presshome.de

Hope it wont take any longer..

    ReplyDelete
  32. minigore may not be approved because it is considered violent by Apple?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Timo, Kimmo, any update of any kind?

    ReplyDelete
  34. I agree with the other anonymous, the length of time for the release (which is because of Apple...I hope) is epic failure. We've been waiting for this game forever now.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Alright checking the app store one to two times a day is getting rediculous. It's been weeks since you said it was finished and soon after submitted. Honestly fuck apple. They've released over 120 apps since it was supposedly submitted and I'm pretty sure this game has a much highs demand than "Dinopuzzle" or "blackjack '09".

    ReplyDelete
  36. We, too, are still waiting for the submission to go through. The wait times are getting really long and if more apps get released per day all the time, I wonder if the time comes soon when Apple won't be able to keep up anymore and needs to come up with something else.

That said, I'm really hoping Minigore comes out by Friday!

    ReplyDelete
  37. friday :(

im hoping by time i get home from school tomorow.. like i hope everyday

damn apple! they need a new system

    or 100 more people. grr

    ReplyDelete
  38. GRRRRRR ANGRYFACE ANGRYFACE GRRRRRRRRR APPLE!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. For the amount of time it's taken for an app that's been submitted earlier this month to come out.. (almost 3 freakin' weeks!!!!) is just appalling..not that it's put me off from purchasing the game, but seriously...apple needs to speed up a bit..not a bit...a lot!

    ReplyDelete
  40. its chillingos fault, i think its been approved, but chillingo doesnt want it to affect touch ko sales, so theyre delaying its release! after all, they probly spent quite a bit on tht pretty toucharcade banner, and minigores release would just murder touch ko sales

    ReplyDelete
  41. it is approved, i got a brother who is an appletester. they are holding out to generate a record hype ;)

    ReplyDelete
  42. r u the dumbo from ta that said it would definately be out by monday? if ur brother was a tester, then perhaps u could shed some light on how the approval process actually works.. besides, they wouldnt hold out for hype, the hypes gone far enough, its already beyond record, which is why this is gonna destroy touch ko sales, which is bad for chillingo

    ReplyDelete
  43. it wont touch touch KO sales (like my pun? :) )

their two totally different games and its only a few dollars. its not like you can only choose one and never get the other game again

its only $4 or $5 in total

    apples just being retards..

    ReplyDelete
  44. well im PISSED this still isnt out! so apple chillingo whatever, get this game on the appstore right now or ill shove it down hardcore while u swallow!!!! yeah u heard me..

    ReplyDelete
  45. lol ^^

i dont see how hard it could be to approve and submit an app... i mean, comon. its been two weeks, their couldnt possibly be that much amount of apps that it takes 2 weeks to get through them all to minigore. this is ridiculous

    ReplyDelete
  46. touchgrind is completely different to flight control, but that hasnt stopped it getting owned (good game though i love it) besides u completely missed my point, from a business perspective, chillingo just released an anticipated game which they paid to advertise, would it exactly help sales for that if they released an even more anticipated game a day or 2 after? in fact by puttingnit off, the hype would build up and ppl might buy touch ko even if they werent going to just to pass the time

    ReplyDelete
  47. it could also go the way of livefire (epicphail been putting it off way too long, and no info for eons)

    ReplyDelete
  48. Livefire/killtest is meant to revolutionize online fps for iphone, that is why ngmoco is taking their time.... this minigore game on the other hand is a one level game 3 min game!

    ReplyDelete
  49. i will make sweet love to a capsicum if this is out by the time i wake up

    ReplyDelete
  50. ngmoco could at least give us some new info every now and then.. love u mountain sheep :D

    ReplyDelete
  51. Okay, of course we are all looking forward to the game, but it isn't anyone's fault that it isn't out yet.
To Apple, it's just another app that needs to be approved. They clearly don't have enough testers, and while they should find a faster way to test apps, we can't blame them for not releasing it. They are only
being fair and testing the apps in the order they were submitted.
This approval process of apps is pretty silly - when there is no release date for an app people are looking forward to they start thinking it's being held back on purpose.
I strongly doubt that Chillingo would have anything to do with Minigore not being out yet - they would most likely rather have it out now to start earning money!
This is just a game. Find something else to occupy your time while you wait - it isn't like you'll be playing this game 24/7 when it's released. It looks fun, but it is more of a "pick up an play" game, not one that will keep you immersed for hours at a time.
Basically - it's no ones fault it isn't out yet, please do something else to do while waiting instead of spamming the comments and toucharcade forums.

    ReplyDelete
  52. yet another person completely misses the point, CHILLINGO WILL MAKE LESS MONEY BY RELEASING THIS SO SOON AFTER TOUCH KO SEE ABOVE FOR REASONS I CANNOT BE BOTHERED EXPLAINING AGAIN, TAKE SOME TIME TO ACTUALLY THINK ABOUT WHAT I SAID BEFORE GOING "O STOP WHINING WHAT A FAGGOT"

    ReplyDelete
  53. mountain sheep said the apps been submitted and its "in the good care of apple" not chillingo

chillingo isnt holding the app back. its been submitted, its just that apple are ridiculously unprepared, and/or slow

    ReplyDelete
  54. people waiting for this game are kids 8-12 lol! if your over that age you are clearly a no life virgin! Go out, have fun, have sex instead!

    ReplyDelete
  55. by the good care of apple they mean that its been submitted! chillingo is publishing, and like publishers such as ngmoco they can hold it back after approval so as to set a definite release date like with rolando 2 *sigh* =.=

    ReplyDelete
  56. so then wtf r u doing here? just had ur cherry popped n thought ud tell evryone?

    ReplyDelete
  57. well if they are holding back minigore (i highly doubt it)
then their just losing money right now. minigore is a much better game then Touch KO (in my opinion)

could someone from mountain sheep please let us know if its with apple, or chillingo. just so we know and can prove that chillingo isnt holding it back?

    ReplyDelete
  58. OH MY EFFING FATHER ALMIGHTY CHILLINGO WOULD MAKE MORE MONEY BY HOLDING IT BACK?!?!? READ MUCH??

    ReplyDelete
  59. some of u have no idea how the dev/publisher thing works, i feel for ur capitals dude..

    ReplyDelete
  60. chillingo will earn more by holding it out coz they have another product out by name of touch ko...and yes they are holding it out coz its already been approved!!!! no app mind you a one level app took this long to get approved!

    ReplyDelete
  61. just because you think chillingo is holding it back, doesnt make it true. i have more proof then you have right now that its in the care of apple and not chillingo

dont jump to conclusions, im not. im just giving my opinion, your trying to force yours onto everyone. so be nice and stop being immature.

    ReplyDelete
  62. oh my god care of apple if anyones being immature and small minded its u, YES IT WAS IN THE CARE OF APPLE WHEN THEY EVALUATED IT, BUT CHILLINGO CAN HOLD IT BACK AFTER APPROVAL, BECAUSE PEOPLE SOMETIMES DO THIS TO ANNOUNCE A DEFINATE RELEASE DATE, THE POWER TO HOLD IT BACK ISNT EXACTLY EVIL, BUT IT CAN BE... AND ITS NOT AN I THINK THEY ARE I THINK THEY ARE SITUATION, I THINK IT BENEFITS CHILLINGO MAKING IT AT LEAST PLAUSIBLE AND YES IT WAS MOST DEFINATELY "IN THE CARE OF APPLE" WHEN THEY EVALUATED IT BUT ONCE AGAIN CHILLINGO GETS IT BACK OR SOMETHING WHEN THEY APPROVE IT DID U NOT READ THE ROLANDO 2 THING THROUGH U DUMBASS?!?!?! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. see, immature. if your so mature why are you typing in caps and calling people dumbasses.. ehh grow up. geez i dont even know why you think your right. you just jump to conclusions. rolando 2 is different, this is minigore. eh. i dont really care about arguing with you, their not holding it back. just hope minigores out soon

    ReplyDelete
  64. AND FOR THE RECORD IM
NOT TRYING TO FORCE MY OPINION ON ANYONE, IM PISSY CAUSE NOBODY ACTUALLY UNDERSTANDS WHAT IM TRYING TO SAY HERE, AND UR NOT HELPING!! PLEASE JUST TAKE THETAME TO READ AND THINK ABOUT WHAT I WROTE BEFORE GOING O NOES CHILLINGO CANT DO THAT BLAH BLAH BLAH

ok i think ill spell it out for everyone now, so mountain sheep develiped the game, but chillingo is publishing it, so mountain sheep semt it to chillingo to send to apple, which they did, the app was then "in the care of apple" while it was evaluated, and when and if this finished they would tell chillingo, as they sent it in, ive seen this happen before and yes they have the option of holding onto the app so that they can set a definite release date such as ea and ngmoco have done, as examples. touch ko went through the same rhing but with a different developer and was submitted to apple the day before. touch ko was then approved and released 2 days ago in my time zone. seeing as every other app submitted around the time minigore was seems to have finished evaluation, chances are so has minigore, but i think it is possible that chillingo has decided to do like ea and hold onto the app, but not to set a definite release date, theyve done it becaus while minigore would make thwm
buckets of money, they want touch ko to make tons of money too, and if this is released like the day afte touch ko, chillingos effectively got two big moneymakers in the app store with sone people choosing one over the otjer. if chillingo holds onto it, touch ko gets all the attention, and when theyre done with it, or have at leadt cemented its place as a top game, they release minigore, which makes the touch ko sales look like a joke. if theyre there at the same time they kinda fight for the spotlight and one cements its place. also some of us waiting for minigore who werent planning on getting touch ko might simply get it out of boredom. all that was typed on an ipod touch btw so i hope ive not so much made u happy but at least gotten my point across

    ReplyDelete
  65. the caps and angry demeanor define me :P and yes rolando 2 is another game ibwas using it as an example of a game that had separate developers(hand circus) and publishers(ngmoco) and was held back so as to set a definite release date rather than fans going through the waiting woes

    ReplyDelete
  66. last point im saying ok

    Posted by KIMMO:
"Minigore is submitted and will be out as soon as Apple approves it"

    Posted by KIMMO:
"We, too, are still waiting for the submission to go through. The wait times are getting really long and if more apps get released per day all the time, i wonder if the time comes soon when Apple won't be able to keep up anymore and needs to come up with something else.

That said, I'm really hoping Minigore comes out this Friday!"

ok, now dont you think mountain sheep would know if minigores getting held back by chillingo? exactly. i do understand where your coming from and what your opinion is, but i just dont think its right. ok im not gonna reply to this argument anymore

    ReplyDelete
  67. i've readen all the post but i don't understand a thing... why some people hope minigore will come out on friday??? it can't come out today or tomorrow or the day after tomorrow??? only on friday??? thanks

    ReplyDelete
  68. ok yes the top one kills my point and if id known that i never woukdve said anyhing esoecially on this dumb ipod keypad, but u were saying that it chillingo didnt have it because of a really old tweet that said it was "in the care of apple" and all that stuff about touch ko and minigore bwing different, well 'anobymous' look at my point about touchgrind and flight control please, touchgrind is a great completely different game but flight control has completely outperformed it anyway, by your logic all the top 25 would be of the same type.. he-llo harbour master sea captain coast guard battle of pirate bay draerace flyloop taxidrive party..

    ReplyDelete
  69. read and digest buddy, skimming through doesnt count... but it doesnt matter anymore, ive been beat.. the evidence is too great.. to prove my point about the skimming it was one of the devs who said they hoped it would be out by friday, not out on friday, sorry about the spam and harsh words guys, i just hate wheb people dont get what im saying and tell me im wrong..

    ReplyDelete
  70. Anonymous is right! Go away Anonymous chillingo is not holding this out, even Anonymous agree with Anonymous so scram off. Anonymous you rock! Anonymous you suck!

    ReplyDelete
  71. howdy there beachmusic from ta (: howd u get it to say beachmusic instead of anonymous anyway? btw i know one of thems in all capslock :P

    ReplyDelete
  72. So far I see people on this blog are really wanting this game.... And as I understand this game was to be out in June? This game isn't really somthing to camp out and wait for... As for what I see Mountain sheep couldn't think of anything and just stole the concept of idracula... It basicly the same thing but idracula has more modes... All this is, is a idracula rip off with animal crossing characters... And also I see that u guys are trying to put this on a console like the Xbox an the PS3... Well I suggest you keep it on the iPod. I don't MiniGore on a console.

    ReplyDelete
  73. ^^ i HATE iDracula. simply because i think the graphics suck, and the weapons and enemies suck.

i like cartoonish games on my ipod because i dont play these games for seriousness or anything, its just for fun. + minigore will be way way better then iDracular, minigore has plans for a MASSIVE future and already a fair big fan base even tho it hasnt been released yet

    ReplyDelete
  74. minigore goes so much further than idracula ever did or tried to, and anyway both are just part of the twin stick shooter subgenre started by robotron in the 80s.. is halo a ripoff of doom? maybe all those ww2 fpses should just go die in a hole, if u dnt like this game u shouldnt be here, and frankly nobody wants u here..

    ReplyDelete
  75. It's obvious there is alot of excitement for this game, but please lets not muddy it with this pointless bickering. I'm sure the developer would rather be reading more productive comments then a flamewar.

    ReplyDelete
  76. How does not bitching out everyone here sound you guys? This is unbelievable how a flame war was started by this... We are commenting on a .99 app for the iPod! This is not some life philosophy worth arguing about! Seriously... Just wait a few days for this to be released and stop bitching about how long it is taking because if you are really that eager to spend your .99 just go buy a nice piece of candy to fuel the inner 8-year old that is driving this arguement...

    ReplyDelete
  77. iquill.ive been waiting 3 months for this game thats since they anounced it.i been checking the app store 20 times a day.my holidays are realy boring so i have noting else to do.so now you know why were anoyed!the were aposed to post this game last months

    ReplyDelete
  78. Will this game EVER come out?

    ReplyDelete
  79. /\ I was just wondering the same thing.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I know that it has been a while since the devs released it to apples testers, but really this game is going to be something that gets better over time, like pocket god and other apps. I'm almost positive that the first version of this game will only provide a few hours of solid fun, but as it becomes more and more updated, it will become better and better. This process of annoyance caused by waiting times is going to continue forever, just with each update... We all just need to relax and give it some time

    ReplyDelete
  81. @iquill
We've already given it more than two weeks. We're pissed now.

    ReplyDelete
  82. you still think that apple got long time?this was rejected...developers don't tell us and resubmit it for sure...many games submitted with and after this got approved or rejected...they lose it or they are not telling us the real status...

    ReplyDelete
  83. This game will probably come out on the 30th or on the 1st... because this game is getting pretty popular and they probably want to make it the first game to come out in August.

    ReplyDelete
  84. ah well, what can I say, how sweet, it's available now!!!
